Tangle Teezer on Natural Hair Review!

Their Claim: "Tangle Teezer hair brush will break the cycle of broken hair and give tangled hair the brush off. A revolution in detangling hair, it has the ability to flex and not pull upon contact with tangles, gently and effortlessly delivering smooth and shiny hair in an instant."

My Experience:
I put the Tangle Teezer to the test, and I love it! I'm not big on detangling and I havent noticed many problems from not doing so, but sometimes it is neccessary so I thought Id give this a try. If it weren't for the fabulous reviews, I do not think I would have given this a try. Because there are so many teeth it may look like it would get caught in or rip through natural hair. This is not the case, The teeth are very flexible and vary and size so it does not rip through the hair.
As soon as I got my Tangle Teezer out of the Package I tested it out on my dry hair that was back in a bun. I had no problems combing through my dry hair like I usually do. Later that Night I tried it out on wet hair saturated with conditioner, and again had great results and detangled my whole head in less than 10 minutes! Also, the majority of the hair I did lose had the white bulb and was hair that shed. I think this is a great product that makes detangling a breeze, and for $9.99 it is defiantly worth a try.

Dry Detangling a section from start to finish (I combed through a couple times to get the results in the final picture) :

This is the amount of hair lost after detangling my whole head wet with conditoner :

nice- but it kind of sounds as good as a Denman D3/D4 brush im a little iffy on trying that, I would have if it were cheaper.....i'm glad it works though- I'll give it a thought. It's a cute little size <3

Heyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy lol.I had a Denman and its def diff for me. The teeth bend a lot so its a lot more gentle and I lost much less hair. But if that works fine for u then yea this isn't really necessary.

I just got one this week and I love it! I have a Denman and I only use that on my hair when it's straight because it feels like it's ripping out my hair.

Much needed post. Whether the hair is wet or dry, we have found that the best detangle method if you are going to use the Denman brush or Tangle Teezer or any type of detangler brush for very matted tangled Afro or natural hair are products like the Take Down Remover/Detangler cream.

Most of the brushes and conditioners are not created to safely detangle severely matted tangled hair. In fact, they could make the knots and matts worse.
