Make Up For Ever HD Foundation Review

My makeup was half done here, didn't put on lipstick or mascara yet

About a year ago I was on the search for the perfect foundation. I tried a couple but they all ended being fails. Finally I headed to Sephora and got matched for the HD foundation. It has been love ever since! I got matched for a 175 (dark skin with coral undertones), the color looks a little dark in person in the winter but it is the perfect color match for me in the summer. If you wear an NC 50 in Mac this color should work for you, it is just a little less yellow.  They have a wide range of colors and undertones so most people should be able to find a match!

This foundation retails at 40$ for 1.01 oz.

From the website:
HD Invisible Cover Foundation

What it is:
An oil-free medium-to-full-coverage liquid foundation that covers skin imperfections flawlessly while remaining invisible on-screen and in real life.

What it does:
This foundation creates a soft-focus effect, which is designed to meet the coverage concerns of those in the spotlight. It leaves your complexion with such a flawless finish, it can withstand bright or harsh lighting.

I highly recommend atleast trying this foundation. It is a little pricey but it looks beautiful on camera and provides full coverage that is semi matte and last all day. The biggest selling point of this foundation is how it appears on camera, it does not look obvious like many many foundations do when photographed. The foundation also does not oxidize which is a problem Ive had with others in the past, and has not caused any breakouts. I also like that the foundation comes with a pump. I usually pump some out and apply it with my 187 brush

I love, love LOVE MUFE HD....as a matter of fact, I bought another bottle today! I have a notoriously hard time finding foundations that match my neutral to yellow undertones, but this one just WORKS for me. I'm a 153 and the thing I love about it is that the color is so forgiving....I'm two totally different shades in the summer and the winter, but I can wear this color year-round. More expensive than the MAC I thought I'd never stray from, but lighter, makes me break out less, and looks so flawless on your skin.

Linking you to my blog =) love your site, girl!

I would really love to try this cause i've heard so many great reviews about it. Unfortunately, its not sold in Australia so i have to try and find it online. Do you know how the shades compare to MAC? Or do you know anyone who uses an NW47 in Studio Fix and also uses it? I wish i could find someone who uses the same shade as me so they can advise me on what shade to order

New to the site and already loving it :) Is there a reason you chose the liquid over powder foundation? I have combination skin and am still trying to figure out which would be best to avoid oily skin.

Thanks Ladies!

@Mojo: thanks! I love it too, I also wear the same color year round! The is the only foundation I have been able to do that with.

@Hermine: Sorry, I am not sure. You can try doing a search on google. that might help.

@ Vetty: I usually set this with Mac mineralized skinfinish which can be used a a powder foundation, so I guess I wear both. I like liguid because I have dry skin and I prefer a dewy finish. I know a lot of people with combination skin can wear liquid also.
