Twist Out!

I am getting so lazy with my hair so I decided to try a twist out last night. This is my second twist out ever. I forgot to take pictures of the twist before I took them out, but I am sure I will be doing this a lot more once it gets warmer so I will explain with more detail next time. I washed my hair with Aussie Moist Shampoo, did an oil rinse with grape seed oil then conditioned with Aussie Moist Conditioner. I lightly blowdried my hair then did about 15- 20 two strand twist using only Fantasia IC styling gel. My hair felt moisturized from the grapeseed oil so i did not bother moisturizing. The end result was very soft! I like how it looks in the pictures but I may end up straightening it if I go out tonight :( I have no self control lol. Anyway, Hope you all have a great weekend!

High Bun and Coral Lips!

Hiiii!
I wore my Revlon Color Burst in Coral last night . This lipstick is a little darker and more reddish orange than the Revlon Super Lustrous lipstick in Kiss Me Coral. I don't think I really need to own both since they are pretty similar, but oh well! I am also posting a picture of my outfit. I got the shirt and bracelets from Forever 21, I love big shirts they help hide that I am so skinny lol. And I did not feel like wearing my hair out so I pulled it up into a high bun!Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend!

Here are a couple pictures from the night, we just went to a couple bars:
The Smoke was not from us lol, the people who too the pic were smoking.

I finally got my drivers license!

In my Blogger Award post, one of the 5 random facts about myself was that I am 22 and don't have a drivers license, well as of today that isn't true anymore!  Lol I am sooo excited because I was so scared to drive before, which is why I put it off for so long. Im still a little nervous behind the wheel but at least I can legally drive! My picture actually didn't come out too bad either!

Wet and Wild Color Icon Palette- Lust (Swatches)

This my first drugstore eyeshadow, and I am very pleasantly surprised! I do not remember what I paid but it was less than $5. I did not expect the eyeshadow to be as pigmented and creamy as it is. Even the two lighter colors had great color pay off and the matte eyeshadows did not seem chalky I will be using this palette in a look this weekend and will be able to give more of a review after I use it. I can't wait to use this because I love purples!

In each of the Wet and Wild Color Icon Palettes there are three mattes and three shimmer shades. The mattes are on the left and the shimmers are on the right

Top: Mattes Bottom: Shimmers
These were swatched without a base. I will use a base when I use them on my eyes.

I love the matte purple and the shimmery charcoal gray.
If you have used these palettes before let me know how you liked it!

Kiss Me Coral!

Bright Lips in the spring are my favorite. I picked up a couple Orange/Coral Revlon Lipsticks since I don't own any in those colors. I'll be showing them one by one as I wear them. Today I wore Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Kiss Me Coral. These lipsticks feel very creamy and not dry at all, it is actually pretty moisturizing. The color is more orangey red than coral. Love this for the spring and summer!

**also I decided to try a middle part for the first time in forever since my bangs aren't really bangs anymore lol. How do you like it?

L'oreal Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara Review

Product Details : L'Oreal presents Carbon Black Voluminous Volume Building Mascara.  L'Oreal's Carbon Black Voluminous is uniquely formulated to resist clumping, soften lashes, and build lashes to 4X their natural thickness!
  • Unique maximizing formula quickly thickens and builds lashes in a single application for a full and dramatic lash look.
  • Patented Volume Maximizing Brush thickens lashes evenly and smoothly leaving them soft with virtually no flakes, smudges or clumps.
  • Voluminous, formulated with Panthenol and Ceramide-R, protects and conditions lashes leaving them supple and soft to the touch, resisting clumping and flaking.
  • Ophthalmologist and allergy tested.
  • Suitable for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers.
  • Clump-Resistant.
  • Fragrance-Free.

My Thoughts: I have been wearing this mascara for years, I love it! I always try out new mascaras when they come out but they never compare to this one. This mascara gives my poor lashes a lot of drama and opens up my eyes.My little brother even complimented me on my lashes one day when wearing this lol, and I often get asked by other women what mascara I use. My own lashes are basically nonexistent so I need a good mascara that provides length and volume. I have no idea how many coats I apply, but it is a good amount, I just put it on until I am satisfied lol. If you apply a lot like I do you will get some clumping, but otherwise you shouldn't have a problem. I also like this mascara because it stays put all day and does not make my lashes hard at all. This retails at less than $10 and is often on sale!

What is your favorite mascara?

MAC Mineralized Skin Finish Natural : Dark vs. Deep Dark (Review & Swatches)

From Left to Right: Deep Dark, Dark

If you are brown you may have some trouble deciding if you should get dark or deep dark, esp if you are around an NC 50 like me. Initially I went to the Mac counter and got matched for Deep Dark by the MA. After wearing it a couple times I realized it was a little too dark, so I ordered Dark. Dark was a much better match. Unlike Deep Dark, it didn't make my foundation look darker, but it just gave me a little more coverage and finished off the look.

MAC describes the product as:
" A luxurious domed face powder with minerals, slowly baked to provide a dimensional yet natural-matte finish. Provides perfect low coverage. Use to set and fix foundation or as a touch-up throughout the day."

I love the Mineralized Skinfinish Natural  and have been using it for months. I am very glad I found it after searching for a good pressed powder. The powder is not powdery and is very natural on the skin. It has very slight shimmer so it doesn't look completely matte and one dimensional but makes the skin glow. The powder is great on its own for light to medium coverage or can be used over a tinted moisturizer or foundation as a setting powder. I haven't notice anymore breakouts than usually from using this product, but others have so keep that in mind.

From left to right: Dark, Deep Dark

**I believe Dark works best for those from NC45 to NC50 and Deep Dark works best for those NW45 or darker. It is always best to go to a counter and try it out on your own!

This picture shows the amount of coverage:
I am wearing Dark on the left side and nothing on the right. You can see you get a good amount of coverage, you can tell especially around the eyes. And my eyes look terribleeee, haven't slept all weekend. I cant believe I posted this picture I look so plain lol.
